Meet Julie

Artist Julie Briede Ibar was born and raised in south central Wisconsin and migrated south east, closer to Lake Michigan. Early in her life she developed a deep appreciation of the natural world and a desire to study and record observed details. In portraits of plants, birds and animals she strives to capture unique characteristics and the essence or spirit of a place. Contrast, color, texture and movement are essential elements to each piece, but there must also be a strong personal connection before beginning a painting.
Ibar’s original paintings are a part of both private and corporate collections.
